Dr. Raghavan has over 10 years of experience in the areas of hydrology, hydraulics, and sediment transport, and specializes in the development and analysis of numerical models and their application to a variety of projects, including floodplain delineation and mapping. His project experience includes watershed hydrology, floodplain delineation, drainage master planning, bank protection, channelization, drainage design, bridge scour, sand and gravel mining pit scour analysis and development and analyses of 1- and 2-dimensional hydraulic and sediment transport models. He also has significant experience in hydrodynamics and multidimensional computational fluid dynamics. In addition, Dr. Raghavan has developed drainage infrastructure databases for local and State agencies.
