Jonathan is a water resources engineer with over a decade of experience analyzing watersheds and designing surface water features for both flood control and environmental projects. His hydrologic and hydraulic experience includes channel, dam and levee design, rehabilitation and certification, stream restoration, scour and sediment transport studies, forensic flood investigations, hydrology reports, and FEMA submittals. This experience encompasses the application of computer/numerical modeling techniques to determine solutions to complex engineering problems in the areas of hydrology (HEC-1, HEC-HMS, FLO-2D, etc.), hydraulics (HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, etc.), and sediment transport (SAM, HEC-RAS, HEC-6T, Fluvial-12, etc.).
He combines proficiency in hydrology, hydraulic and sediment transport modeling, with added proficiency in GIS and CADD programs such as ESRI ArcGIS, Autodesk Civil3D, Bentley MicroStation & Inroads, to develop detailed graphical displays for incorporation into planning and design documents.
Jonathan also has substantial experience in development of final construction documents based on results of computer/numerical modeling including plans and project specifications.
When he isn’t working, Jonathan enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 3 children.
