Regulation/Policy

Successful completion of engineering projects has become increasingly reliant upon the navigation of a complex regulatory framework to obtain necessary clearances and permits.  JE Fuller’s professional staff has developed expertise and has gained experience in assisting our clients to obtain permits in a timely manner.  A thorough understanding of regulatory and permit requirements informs the study or design process so that engineering products meet the basic permit requirements with the first submittal. The primary regulatory arenas served by JE Fuller are related to:

1. Floodplain management regulations by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA),
2. Clean Water Act permits (404 and 401) by the Regulatory branch of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
3. Storm Water Permits by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which are implemented in Arizona by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ), and
4. Permits for material extraction from watercourses from Sand and Gravel mining.
