Project Description
The East Shea Corridor Area Drainage Master Study (ADMS) is a regional drainage study conducted by the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, encompassing approximately 45 square miles in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. The watershed includes the steep slopes of the McDowell Mountains, which drain into highly urbanized areas. As a subconsultant, JE Fuller contributed to the study by developing updated hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) models using FLO-2D, incorporating culverts, 1D channels, property walls, and storm drain systems. Our team also assisted in identifying 18 flood-prone areas and formulating mitigation strategies, including Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) and Low Impact Development (LID) alternatives where applicable. These efforts culminated in comprehensive mitigation area reports with alternative rankings and conceptual designs, aimed at enhancing flood protection for the communities within the study area.
